It's been a long week!

and it's still only Thursday. Having such a late night Sunday really put me behind for the week.

I guess you could say it's been a good week (especially for Mo). Let's see, besides winning a big softball tournament, she's going to be published in a poetry journal this summer. She started writing poetry about a year and a half ago. As it turns out, the first poem she wrote is the one they picked to publish. It's called "Liars" and it's about her biological father. Hmmm. Guess I don't have to spell that one out for you. Beautiful poem. Breaks my heart every time I read it. Mo is so proud of herself. I think having it published is good therapy for her. He doesn't know yet. Probably never will. Oh, one of these days she'll read the poem to him. Until then, I find it fitting that the rest of our world knows him for what he is while he still thinks he's got everybody fooled.

So, it's basically been a good week. OK, a little more than just good.

I'm looking forward to next weekend though. Nolan and the girls are going to a softball tournament and I'm not. Oh right, I'm not looking forward to missing a tournament... I've never missed a tournament and that part's gonna stink. I'm looking forward to the reason that I'm missing the tournament. I'm going to Lewisville. I've been invited to go to Caroline's house for a Maya Road DT get together. How much fun is that? I seriously CAN'T wait! It's been SOOOOOO long since I've been away by myself for an all girls' weekend. We're going to do make and takes at the Scrapbook Pad on Friday and crop all day Saturday. FUN!

Then of course, you know where I'll be if Taylor is still playing softball on Sunday. That'll mean they're winning... and I'll go to Sugarland to watch.

Yeah. I'll miss Nolan terribly. I will. But I'm going to have fun nonetheless. No worries. No guilt. I've been way to stressed lately. I need some relief. A weekend with a bunch of fun-loving people that I barely even know fits the bill.
