my daughter's high school softball team is on the 4A radar! Whoop! After beating several 5A schools (including a couple that are ranked), Lockhart softball is on the map. The girls are ranked 18 in the state and I'm sure they'll climb higher as the season continues.
They opened district tonight with a commanding 16-0 win over Lehman. In only 2 1/2 innings, Taylor struck out 8 batters! The only out she didn't record was a foul ball tracked down by our catcher. Not bad for the first district game. 16 runs in two at-bats... the girls ROCKED tonight! They'll play again Friday night in New Braunfels.
The girls are off to a 21-5 start to the season. Keep it up ladies!
