Well, here they are....

This is ALMOST my entire group of 11 and 12 year old scrappers. We'll have to get another picture this week because 2 of the girls were sick... we sure missed them.
We are really having a BALL! We're finished with our first 2 projects. The first was to make "thank you" cards for Maya Road. I just LOVE being a part of this group of ladies! Caroline sent us a GENEROUS donation - more chipboard alphas than you can possibly imagine. AND she purged her stash and sent some of that too! THANKS Caroline!
Jessica (also from Maya Road) emailed me last week (after seeing the first post) and she's mailing some stuff too. The girls are so appreciative... they think they're in heaven.

So, how's it going? Well, they've learned how to use an exacto knife without too much incident. One of the girls cut herself, but apparently she cuts herself about every time she picks one up... but, she's determined to master it. That's my girl!

We've labeled supplies... which is a good thing b/c a pair of scissors, two ink pads, and an ink dauber were left behind the first crop.

We've learned how to use a cutter... I seriously NEVER knew how hard it would be for young girls to cut a straight line... OMG! We should have started with scrap typing paper.

But, the girls are having a blast! They get along sooooooooo well. They share with each other, help each other, and have LOTS of great ideas. Shoot, one of the girls used her ink pad to alter the background of the photo she was scrapping. The background was taupe... she wanted it blue, so she just used her blue ink pad and, "voila" blue background. You know what I was thinking? Yep... I wondered how in the heck she thought of that on her own? Kids... they've got more creativity than most of us because they don't have the inhibitions we've developed.

Here are a couple of the girls.
And this one? She's having entirely too much fun! I can't wait to have time to scrap this picture. Preciously funny, isn't it? Did you see the look the girl in the background is giving?
Stay tuned. We meet again on Thursday!
