Ta DA!

... here it is. Aqua blue roof and all. And we LOVE it! Yep. We closed on the new house this morning at 10am. and would you believe that when Nolan initially accepted his new job (way back in November), this is the very first house I "looked" at. When I got on Yahoo Real Estate and typed in our new town, this was the house that caught my eye... and I've been going back to this picture since. Yeah, you could say that the blue roof intrigued me a bit more than it did Nolan, but it's growing on him.

Now, 9 months later, we've bought the house I was first drawn to... (you've heard the saying, "If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy...")? Well, I kept this picture handy and pulled it out every so often with these words to Nolan, "you know baby, we COULD go look at this one.... there's something about it that keeps me thinking about it" - maybe I finally wore him down, but for whatever reasons, we did FINALLY go look at it, again, and again, and again, and AGAIN!!! and decided that this is the house we'd proudly call our new home.

It's a gem and we're thrilled to have it. OMG! This is the first house that Nolan and I have bought together... Welcome to the new Rives' family HOME. I'll post more pics as we are moving in! YEEHAW!!!!!!!!!!!!
